If you have a web site
or a blog chances are
that you are already linking to third party sites. You are "referring"
your visitors to other sites you think may be of interest to your
readership. This makes your site more interesting and more attractive to
visitors.
An affiliate link is no different. It is just an
external link like any other external link except that if your visitors
end up purchasing something on the site you are referring them to, you
get paid a percentage of the transaction. In effect your site or
blog is now working for you while you sleep. There is no effort on your
part other than setting up the affiliate link.
You do not have a web site or a
blog.... but you may have a Myspace page, a Facebook page or an
email account, you may be contributing to various forums and discussion
boards... You most likely regularly use these to refer your friends and
contacts to a site you find interesting... By referring them to
Bodyscape, you can now earn some cash in the process.
How much will you earn? It
all depends on how much traffic your site or blog receives. Our products
are ebooks retailing under US$7 and you will earn up to 25% or about
$1.75 per sale. Unless your site attracts millions of visitors, you
should not expect to quit your day job and retire in the Caribbean's;
but you may very well earn enough to cover the cost of your site hosting
fees...promote Bodyscape actively and watch your earnings grow.
What is in for Bodyscape?. If you
link to Bodyscape you basically becomes a reseller for our products. The
more resellers we have the more money we make.
Even if your site only attracts very few visitors and you refer us very
little business, your link to Bodyscape still increases our popularity
in search engines. (and yours...)
Joining is really easy.
However you must have a Paypal account in order to join our program.
This is where we will pay your commissions every month. If you do not
have a Paypal account,
get one today. It is free and very easy. This is a prerequisite.
What is next? Once you have a
Paypal account, you can join the Bodyscape network
here in a few minutes... The system will ask
you a few basic information and you will receive an email of
confirmation including your login details. You can then choose one or
several of our banners or text links to add to your site and you are
done.
You do not know how to add a link...
Your webmaster probably does it for you. There is
an easy way to join
our Affiliate program
You want an affiliate program of your
own? You are seduced by the simplicity and effectiveness of
this system. You want to start your own Affiliate program and start
recruiting resellers to your own site... Good idea... This is a steep
learning curve but there are basically two ways to go about it.
1- Join an existing network... There are hundreds to choose from. The
main advantage is that they manage all the technical bits for you, but
they do charge an entry fee of up to several thousand dollars. Look up for
"Affiliate network" and be prepared to do a lot of reading and
researching.
2- Create your own network... This is what I choose to do with Bodyscape.
You need some level of technical expertise. Basically, If you are
maintaining your own site, you probably have enough skills to set up a
referal script. After much research I have selected
Post Affiliate Pro
and found it fairly easy to implement, robust and accurate... You can
purchase it here.
(and yes I am one of their affiliates and yes I will earn a commission if
you buy it... Thank you!)

(Write up something, even very short, post an image borrowed from

program. That is it...
4- Our system will recognise all visitors coming
from any page on your blog as being yours and will credit you 25% of
any sale of our tutorial. We pay you monthly on your Paypal account
once your credit has reached $50.
The same method can also be implemented on any
other website, not just blogs...
What is a "Direct Link" ?
When you join an affiliate program you normally
have the option of selecting ready made banners or text links to add
to your site.
Such links include a "referral code" unique to you.
The affiliate system recognises this "referral code" and uses it to
credit your account.
This is simple because you do not have to create any banners or
text, you simply cut and paste some code. See examples below
.
Or a text link such as:
Body casting tutorial -
Easy to follow instructions
Fun and affordable DIY project
The problem is that the "referral code" will be visible by your visitors
in the link target bar of most browsers. (Example:
get one today see
the extra code appearing after the URL at the bottom of your browser
window? This is a giveaway sign that this link is "affiliate" )
Some people do not like you
getting paid a commission from their purchase and will
strip out this code and visit my site without it... as a result, the affiliate
system does not know the visit comes from your site and you miss out
on the commission.
To solve this problem, we are offering another
method called "Direct Link" Such links do not include any
referral code and your visitors have no idea you will get a
commission. Our system matches your URL to your affiliate ID
and can credit you for any visit.
The problem is that you must establish the link yourself, like any
other link really...It is in fact an advantage as you have complete
control on the look and feel of the link and you can therefore make
it to match the style of your site...
We strongly recommend that you use the "Direct
Link" method. How does this
all work?
A visitor sees my link on your blog or website.
The visitor may click on the link...and arrive on my Tutorial page.
If the vistors then buys the tutorial, I credit you of 25% of the
transaction amount.
At the end of the month, if you have reached $50 in commission, I
credit your Paypal account.
If the visitors does not immediately buy the Tutorial but returns to
the site and buys it within 14 days, you still get paid the 25%.
How do the system knows the visitors came from your site or blog?
This is because when you join the Bodyscape Network your are
assigned a unique affiliate code. This code is embedded in the link
you place on your site and when someone click on the link this code
is received by my site. The system can then track this visitor as
being "yours".
Alternatively , you can use a "Direct Link" which does not have any
embedded affiliate code, as explained above.
Where to place the link on your site?
Wherever you wish... a larger banner prominently placed on your
most viewed page would obviously generate more traffic and therefore
more income but it might not suit the style of your site..
A small, innocuous link such as the one at the bottom of this page
could be more appropriate... You could even place it on every
page...
Examples of text links...
...you could put this on your site today.:
