Model release statement.

Should you participate as a model to one of my projects, you will be asked to sign a model release statement.

A Model release statement is a document intended to protect the interest of both model and artist.

It can be used to described the kind of work, the compensation and the ownership of the resulting artwork.

Below is an typical example. It can be modified and adapted to any situation.

 My name is <Model Name> of <City,Country>. I am over 18 years old and was at least 18 years old at the time that the castings, photographs or drawings using my likeness were made by Olivier Duhamel.

 I confirm that I knowingly posed nude or semi nude on <Pose date> in <Pose Location> and that the resulting casting or other artworks may contain images of my body in suggestive and possibly erotic poses.

 All rights to all castings and other artwork prepared by Olivier Duhamel shall be the property of Olivier Duhamel. I authorise Olivier Duhamel to make copies of the form and likeness inspired from my pose, and to publish and offer for sale in any form the castings and other artworks made of my likeness. The foregoing includes Olivier Duhamel’s right to use, make, reuse, re-publish, remake or modify, in whole or in part, original or modified copies of the castings, photographs or drawings using my likeness. I authorise Olivier Duhamel to permit other artists to exercise the rights granted to Olivier Duhamel under this release.

 I have received a financial compensation of <currency – amount>  and confirm that I will not be seeking any further financial compensation for my participation.

 I also understand that any reference photographs made by Olivier Duhamel or given to Olivier Duhamel by myself for the purpose of creating an artwork, will not be published anywhere in any form and will not be forwarded to any third party by Olivier Duhamel without my expressed written authorisation.
