What is a pitch mark fork? When a golf ball lands on the putting green it often makes some damage to the fine turf. The responsible golfer will repair any mark left by a ball on the putting surface. This is proper golf etiquette.

The tool used to make such repairs is called a pitch mark repairer. All golfers must carry one with them in their pocket or golf bag while on the golf course.

The tool is sometimes also called a ball mark repair tool or even a pitch fork. Some people simply use a tee peg, but a well designed pitch mark repair tool is the best method to do a perfect repair. The green keeper will happily show you how to use the tool. It only takes seconds.
